Japanese Are Big Bully ?

Recent suicide cases among young primary and high school student due to bully has alerted the Ministry of Education,Culture, Sports, Science and Technology to quickly looked into the alarming matter.

Almost everyweek, sure you can see or hear one or two cases of teenagers, the youngest so far is a 7 yrs old girl, killing themselves and leaving behind notes stating that they are dissapointed with their life, or fed up of being bullied in the school.

Well, recent survey shows that almost half of the parents interviewed recently admitted that bad parenting is the cause of teenage suicide.

In one of the Mainichi Shimbun forum, someone wrote:
"Bullying and suicide have been a general feature of the Japanese culture for hundreds of years.

The "Kohai-Sempai" relationship in Japan is the basis of bullying. The older person may treat the younger person as a slave of sorts and that is just tradition. Looking from a completely foreign standpoint this is bullying, plain and straight.

Suicide has always been the way of the Japanese. Bushido. The way of the Warrior. It's honourable is it not? Suicide today is trendy. That's all. Like Looz Socks Tamagochi and The latest Johnies group of pre-pubescent boys. It'S a very sad state of affairs."

Recent news on kid committing suicide due to school bully:
"In early October, a boy in southern Japan hanged himself inside a barn, leaving a note saying he that could no longer stand being bullied at school."

"A 14-year-old girl in central Japan hanged herself at home in late October. The Japanese media reported that she had been bullied by members of the school basketball club."

"Yesterday, a 17-year-old girl apparently jumped off the roof of the junior high school in western Japan where she had graduated, Kyodo reported. It was unclear whether that case was linked to bullying."

Japan population is shrinking each year, and they cant afford to lose more teenagers, they surely need a instand remedy to this problem.
